Conservation of resources is the ethical use and protection of valuable resources, such as trees, minerals, wildlife, water and others. It focuses on maintaining the natural world in order to protect the sources of resources.

1. The different types of religious practices found in my neighbourhood strongly indicate freedom of religious practice.
2. The various forms of prayer, worship of different gods, sacred sites and different kinds of religious music found in my locality are of Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, Bahais and Jews.
3. The Christians sing hymns, the Hindus bhajans, while the Muslims offers namaaz five times a day. The Jews visit synagogues and the Bahai’s believe in the world’s unity and peace.
4. There are churches, temples, mosques, and gurudwaras in my locality. This indicates that all citizens are able to practise their religion with freedom in a secular environment.

The information printed in newspaper are usually affected by the views and opinions of the reporters, news editors etc. But what historians find in police reports are usually true and realistic.

The word socialist was added to the Preamble of the Indian Constitution by the 42nd amendment act of 1976, during the Emergency. It implies social and economic equality. Social equality in this context means the absence of discrimination on the grounds only of caste, colour, creed, ***, religion, or language.

Actual Resources

 (i) Those resources whose total quantity is known.

(ii) They are being used at the present time.

(iii) Available technology is used to use these resources.

 (iv) Rich deposits of coal in Rubr region of Germany is an example of actual resources. 

 In India we get four types of iron ores, (a) Hematite (Fe203)- It is mainly found in the Dharwad and Cuddapah rocks of the Peninsular India. The total recoverable reserves of iron ore in India are about 9,602 million tonnes of hematite and 3,408 million tonnes of magnetite. Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Jharkhand, Odisha, Goa, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu are the principal Indian producers of iron ore. In India, the main deposits of iron ore are located in the states of Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka and Goa, with Odisha contributing ~50% of India's total production. With iron ore produced in more than 50 nations, Australia, Brazil, China, India and Russia are the largest producers.

Three significance of dates are:

• Dates tell us about when an event or an incident occurred.
• Chronologically, dates help to show cause and effect relationship between events.
• Dates help historians to construct history of a king or a dynasty in a chronological manner

James Mill thought that all Asian societies were at a lower level of civilisation than Europe. According to him, before the British came to India, Hindu and Muslim despots ruled the country. Religious intolerance, caste taboos and superstitious practices dominated the social life of the Indians. To him, only British rule could civilise Indians by ruling over them and by introducing Western education, laws and institutions in India.

The 'Civilizing Mission' of colonizers meant the spread of western culture, thoughts, education, language, science and logic in the colonies. They thought that it was the duty of the superior races to educate and civilize the people of Asia and Africa.

An accountable government is answerable to its citizens. It is responsible for all the decisions it makes on behalf of its citizens.

Government accountability means that public officials elected and un-elected have an obligation to explain their decisions and actions to the citizens. Government accountability is achieved through the use of a variety of mechanisms political, legal, and administrative designed to prevent corruption and ensure that public officials remain answerable and accessible to the people they serve. In the absence of such mechanisms, corruption may thrive.

The year a king was crowned the year he married the year he had a child the year he fought a particular war the year he died and then the year next ruler succeeded to the throne. For such events specified date can be determined.

Land use pattern refers to the way the land is utilised.

1. The Forest cover of the country is less than the prescribed 33% of the total country’s land. Forests occupy about 23.81% of the total land surface in India.
2. Total net sown area of India is 46.24% of the total land in the country.
3. Net sown area differs from state to state. While in Punjab and Haryana, the net sown area is more than 80% of the total land in the state, it is less than 10% in Arunanchal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur and Andaman Nicobar Islands. 3.38% of the total land is used for grazing while rests of the remaining lands are fallow and waste lands.

After their independence for a democratic nation, Nepal's first constitution reflected in the monarchy of Nepal. But Nepal's citizens had fought for the democracy of Nepal and thus had come together to form the new constitution of Nepal, overlooking the fact of a democratic nation.

Deforestation can be defined as the large-scale removal of trees from forests (or other lands) for the facilitation of human activities. It is a serious environmental concern since it can result in the loss of biodiversity, damage to natural habitats, disturbances in the water cycle, and soil erosion. Deforestation is also a contributor to climate change and global warming.

At the time of Indian independence in 1947, India was divided into two sets of territories, one under direct British rule, and the other under the suzerainty of the British Crown, with control over their internal affairs remaining in the hands of their hereditary rulers. When using diplomacy, advantages may be one or more of the following: Results are reached by all involved and thus tend to be more durable. Results arrived at by diplomacy are more agreeable to all involved, certainly when compared to warfare. Results tend to be cheaper than its alternatives.
