{tex}\frac{x\;+\;1}{x-1}=\;\frac65{/tex}
5(x + 1) = 6( x - 1)
5x + 5 = 6x - 6
5x - 6x = -6 -5
-x = -11
x = 11

The pythagoras theoram states that the square of the hypotanius( the angle opposite to the 90° angle) is the sum of the square of the legs .. For example ... Question : if the lenght of the legs of a right angle triangle are 3 cm and 4 cm .. find the hypotanius Solution:h= 3×3+4×4 =h= 9+16 =h= 25's square root Hence , the hypotanius is 5 cm

The answer is 576+100 = 676's square root =26.. Hence .. the answer is 26

Gaurav Seth 6 years, 10 months ago

Given: PQ = 10 cm, PR = 24 cm

Let QR be x cm.

In right angled triangle QPR,

(Hypotenuse)2= (Base)2+ (Perpendicular)2

[By Pythagoras theorem]

⇒ (QR)2= (PQ)2+ (PR)2

⇒ x2=(10)2+(24)2

⇒ x2 = 100 + 576 = 676

⇒ x=√676 = 26 cm

Thus, the length of QR is 26 cm.

Symmetry may be viewed when you flip, slide or turn an object. The different types are:

  • Reflective or Line: A figure is symmetrical about a dotted line which divides it into two equal halves. This is often referred to as the basic type.
  • Rotational Symmetry: You rotate a shape about an axis and it appears exactly the same as it did before rotation. Example: a square, a rectangle, etc.
