Nutrients are compounds in foods essential to life and health, providing us with energy, the building blocks for repair and growth and substances necessary to regulate chemical processes. Our bodies derive energy from the foods and liquids we consume. The main nutrients our body uses for energy are carbohydrates, fats and protein. Water is necessary for transport of nutrients, and dehydration can cause a lack of energy.

A hormone imbalance could be to blame. Hormones are chemical “messengers” that impact the way your cells and organs function. It's normal for your levels to shift at different times of your life, such as before and during your period or a pregnancy, or during menopause. Hormone imbalance can debilitate you. Some hormonal shifts are normal, like monthly fluctuations of *** hormones responsible for menstruation and ovulation or the changes that occur during pregnancy. Menopause is another time for a normal hormonal shift in a woman's life.

Polar regions receive less intense solar radiation than the other parts of Earth because the sun's energy arrives at an oblique angle, spreading over a larger area, and also travels a longer distance through the Earth's atmosphere in which it may be absorbed, scattered or reflected, which is the same thing that causes winters to be colder than the rest of the year in temperate areas.

A planet is round because of gravity. A planet's gravity pulls equally from all sides. Gravity pulls from the center to the edges like the spokes of a bicycle wheel. This makes the overall shape of a planet a sphere, which is a three-dimensional circle.

One way of increasing the availability of water to overcome its shortage is rainwater harvesting. There are two main techniques for rainwater harvesting:

  1. Collection and storage of rainwater in tanks for future use when there is scarcity of water.
  2. Percolation of rainwater into the ground by constructing percolation pits to recharge groundwater.

Most of the rainwater which falls in cities flows into dirty water drains and goes away. So, rainwater harvesting is necessary in city areas.

Light is a form of energy. It is required to see things around us. A source of light is an object which gives out light. All the sources of light can be divided into two groups – natural sources of light and man-made sources of light.

The sources of light which occur in nature as such are called natural sources of light. Example – sun and stars.

The sources of light which have been made by man are called man-made sources of light. Example – electric bulb, tube-light, torch, etc.

Yarn to Fabric:

Fabrics are made from yarn by weaving and knitting.

Weaving is a process of making a fabric by arranging yarns passing in one direction with other yarns at right angles to them. Two sets of yarn are woven to make a fabric. The weaving of yarn to make fabrics is done by using ‘looms’ (kargha in Hindi).

The loom which is worked by hand is called ‘handloom’ whereas the loom which works with electric power is called ‘powerloom’.

Knitting is the process of making a fabric by interlocking loops of single yarn with knitting needles or machines. It can be done by hand or on machines. A sweater is made by the process of knitting by using a single ‘woollen yarn’ with the help of knitting needles.
