भौगोलिक संदर्भों में मरूद्यान, शाद्वल, मरूद्वीप, किसी मरूस्थल में किसी झरने, चश्मा या जल-स्रोत के आसपास स्थित एक ऐसा क्षेत्र होता है जहां किसी वनस्पति के उगने के लिए पर्याप्त अनुकूल परिस्थितियां उपलब्ध होती हैं। यदि यह क्षेत्र पर्याप्त रूप से बड़ा हो, तो यह पशुओं और मनुष्यों को भी प्राकृतिक आवास उपलब्ध कराता है
