    सुख से अलसाए-से सोए (क) प्रस्तुत पंक्ति का आशय यह है कि गंगा की रेती सूर्य की सप्तरंगी आभा से युक्त होकर लहरों के साथ लहराते हुए साँपों जैसी प्रतीत हो रही है। (ख) प्रस्तुत पंक्ति का भाव है कि बसंत ऋतु में प्रसन्नचित्त हरियाली सर्दी की धूप में इस तरह आलस्य से युक्त हो गई है कि वह सोती सी जान पड़ती है।
