B Havell and Abhindranath tagore India artist started giving respect to traditional painting of Indians and stopped the blind copied of life less western painting 3. It is the first school represent important art movement in modern school. 4.this led to the birth of Bengal art . 5. Bengal school is more or less in a style than our regional development. 6. E.B.Havell was introduced to Abhindranath tagore and appointed him as vice principal and head of family of art of school

Colonial empire harmed a lot our Indian art and tradition and many royal Indians and English supporters used to follow them some artist came and took the Indian art ahead "Bengal school of art"is this initiative in which artists raised voice against Britishers art academy and started seprating them with their culture and art Famous artists of this national movt are rabindranath tagore ,gagendranath tagore ,jamini Roy ,Raja Ravi Verma etc
