Total money sonu and manu had = ₹450 Money left with them = ₹40 Therefore, ₹450 - ₹40 = 410 Let money spent by monu be x Therefore, money spent by sonu will be (x+50) x + (x+50) = 410 x + x + 50 = 410 2x + 50 = 410 Transpose 50 to R.H.S 2x = 410 - 50 2x = 360 Transpose 2 to R.H.S x = 360/2 x = 180/1 = 180 Therefore, Money spent by monu = x =₹180 Money spent by sonu = (x+50) = 180 + 50 = ₹230
