Wheat is a Rabi Crop,so it is generally sown in the Winter season. So, it doesn't require much water. If wheat is sown in the Kharif season (from June to October), then due to excess water, and lack of optimum temperature and various other physical conditions the crop might be destroyed.

Crop of wheat requires moderate temperature moderate amount of water and a long preiod of forst - free days.If wheat is grown in kharif season it may not grow properly because of very high temperature. Some of the plants may also get damaged due to flooding. This will result in poor yield
