Plants use this to absorb water from the soil to the roots. Osmosis is important to plants because it allows for water uptake, photosynthesis and general stability. Osmosis ensures that all cells and structures within a plant have correct water pressure and volume.

Osmosis = movement of water Molecules from in and out of the cell membrane.

Diffusion = the movement of molecules from higher concentration level to lower concentration level.

Because diffusion is the process of movement of particles ( solids and gases) from higher concentration to lower concentration And Osmosis is the process of movement of water from higher concentration to lower concentration Thus they are so important for the survival of plant cells
