Let the to be subtracted =x x-1/2*1/2= 1/8 ( according to the question) x-1/4= 1/8 ( because 1/2*1/2=1/4) Now take LCM of denominator so the equation is 4x-1/ 4 =1/8 4x-1= 1/8*4 4x= 1/2 +1 4x = 1+2 /2 x= 3/8 Now u can verify why u get 1/ 8 By putting the value
