It has been universally acknowledged that Democracy is an auspicious specimen of freedom which gives voting right to the citizens. Democracy means that the head of a state will be elected by voting. Democracy grants the voting right to all the mature citizens of a state to vote. But, voting must not be made compulsory. Although, Voting rights gives a primary vitality to citizens, yet there must be no compulsion for voting over citizens. A citizen is fully independent and free to vote or not. Hypothetically, if citizens are compelled to vote, democracy will lose its uniqueness of freedom and the coveted Voting rights will become a burden on citizens. The scenario will also result into a plethora of another loopholes also. Therefore, in my opinion, Voting rights must not be made compulsory.
