The ragpickers live in the outskirts of Delhi, i.e. Seemapuri. These people live in abject poverty. The little children who should be going to school at such a tender age, are forced to practice ragpicking, as they cannot afford even the basic necessities of life. They wear torn clothes and consider themselves lucky even if they find worn out shoes. They rummage through the garbage heaps, and it brings a smile on their faces if they find a rupee and continue the work in hope of finding more.
