Calculate the concentration of a solution containing 2.5g of salt dissolved in 50g of water?
  • 1 answers

Sia ? 3 years, 2 months ago

given the mass of solute (salt) = 2.5 g

and mass of solvent (water) = 50g

as we know that mass of solution = mass of solute + mass of solvent
= 2.5 + 50
= 52.5g

concentration of the solution = (mass of solute/mass of solution) × 100
= (2.5/52.5) × 100
= 250/52.5
= 4.76% (approximately)
