Due to Alkaline Ph of Gut of insect the inactive BT toxin protein gets activated And Create pores and Cause swelling in the gut of the insect and eventually lead's to it's death

This is because a cry gene introduced by GE, produces certain crystal proteins in inactive form. As any concerned insect eat that plant, the inactive protein gets activated in the presence of alkaline ph of it's gut and binds with the midgut epithelial cells and cause swallowing and lyses when water enters into it. And the insects dies
