Removal of anthers by cutting them out from female flowers and bagging is done to prevent the female flower to get pollinated with some other pollen grain by pollinating agents. It is used to produce various genetic variations in plant and may be dusted with some other pollen grain which does genetic variability and it is the root of any plant breeding programme.
