If we want to change the physical state of any matter we have to change temperature and pressure mainly for the substances.
As the temperature increases, the solid state changes to liquid state and liquid state changes to gaseous state. The heat energy that is supplied to water till it changes its state is called as latent heat.
Water boils at 100°C temperature that can be written as,
100 + 273.15 = 373.15 K
