He has 2 chocolates and his friend gave him 20 chocolates means we have to add " 2 and 20 means 2 + 20 = 22 " . Then, he gives all his chocolates to his friend means " he has 22 chocolates and he gives all his chocolates to his friend means 22 - 22 = 0 " . Then, his teacher gives him 40 chocolates means " then he has 0 chocolates but teacher gives her 40 chocolates means 0 + 40 = 40 " Means at last he has 40 chocolates.
