Molecular orbital theory states that after forming molecule, electrons do not continue to revolve in atomic orbitals rather they start revolving in newly formed molecular orbitals which are around two or more nuclei of the participant atoms. It also explains the paramagnetic, diamagnetic properties as well as existence of some Diatomic molecules.
