It can be prevented by using rna interference method. Rna interference is the phenomenon of inhibiting the activity of foreign gene by producing sense and antisense rna. These rna join and become double stranded rna. 1-In this method the genes of nematode are taken out. Then this gene is incorporated in the plant cell . Now, when nematode eats the plant cell the ds rna make risc(rna induced silencing complex) factor and cleaves the mrna of the nematode. Hence, root knot disease is prevented
