Plastics are responsible for the storage of the food they are of three types chromoplast and leucoplast and chloroplast in which chloroplast is responsible for the green pigment due to which plant appear green and leucoplast are colour less and store carbohydrate and starch chromoplast means colour

Plastids are double-membrane organelles which are found in the cells of plants and algae. Plastids are responsible for manufacturing and storing of food. These often contain pigments that are used in photosynthesis and different types of pigments that can change the colour of the cell.
