A rectangular tank contains 35000 litres of water . Find the depth of the water contained in the tank if the base of the tank is 7 m ×2.5 m.

    35000 litres = 35000÷1000 =35 m3
    depth = volume ÷ l×b
    = 35÷7×2.5
    =5÷2.5
    = 2 m
