The intensity of light reflected by moon on this earth or the light illuminated by the the candle is not sufficient to see something's reflection cleary. Actually it hides the blemishes or spots on the lady's face. Whereas a mirror truthfully reflects back her image. It irritates her verry much. So she choose to turn to the moon and the candles.

The candle and the moon light hides the blemishes with its soft light so the lady turns to the liers(candle and moonlight)as she is more beautiful than that of her face in the mirror which faithfully and truthfully reflects back
