The marked price of the sofa = Rs. 6000

Discount% = 10%

We know the formula as:

Substituting the values in the formula above, we get

∴ S.P. of the sofa =

Gain% = 8%

Also, we know the formula as:

Substituting the values in the formula above, we get

∴ C.P. of the sofa =

Thus, the actual cost of the sofa is → Rs. 5000.
