let the shorter side be x cm
other side = x+1 cm
height = 4cm
Area of trapezium = (1/2)*sum of parallel side* height
= (1/2)*(x cm + x+1 cm)*4 cm
= 2x+1 cm * 2 cm
= 4x+2 cm square
ATQ
4x+2 = 10
=> 4x = 10 -2
=> x = 8/4
=> x = 2
side 1 = x cm
= 2 cm
side 2 = x+1 cm
= 2+1 cm
= 3 cm
