Step-by-step explanation:

let the shorter side be x cm

other side = x+1 cm

height = 4cm

Area of trapezium = (1/2)*sum of parallel side* height

                              = (1/2)*(x cm + x+1 cm)*4 cm

                              = 2x+1 cm * 2 cm

                              = 4x+2 cm square

                                       ATQ

       4x+2 = 10

 => 4x = 10 -2

 => x = 8/4

 => x = 2

side 1 = x cm

         = 2 cm

side 2 = x+1 cm

          = 2+1 cm

          = 3 cm
