Perimeter of square 1=12cm

a1= side of square 1 = 12/4=3cm

perimeter of square 2 = 16cm

a2=side of square 2 = 16/4=4cm

The sum of the qareas of these two squares =

=

=9+16=25

the area of the larger square, is therefore,25

the side of the larger square=√25=5cm

The perimeter of the larger square=4*5=20cm

∴The perimeter of the required square is 20cm
