Rewrite 9p2
9p2 as (3p)2
Now,
(3p)2−16
Rewrite 16 as 42
(3p)2 − 42
Since both terms are perfect squares, factor using the difference of squares formula, a2−b2=(a+b)(a−b) where a=3p and b=4
(3p+4)(3p−4)
