It is displacement reaction ???

Iron is a more reactive metal then copper hence it displaces copper from its solution and this copper deposits on iron .as copper is brown in colour hence iron rod appears brown

Simran Khan 8 years, 1 month ago

Due to deposition of copper on the iron as the reaction takes place is displacement reaction ,so iron takes place of copper and the copper deposited on it this is done because iron has more reactivity than copper
