We can test a leaf for starch first we can take a leaf and boil it in alcohol to remove chlorophy then take the same leaf and then add two drops of iodine solution in it if it truns blue black then the result is positive I am suryansh from dikshant international school haryana punchkula

The presence of starch in leaves can be tested by the Iodine test. When we remove chlorophyll from the leaf by boiling it in alcohol and then put two drops of iodine solution, it is colour change to blue indicates the presence of starch.
