    Given that the price of an article including GST of 18% is Rs.1239 Let the price of the article before GST be x Therefore, x+18% ofx=1239 ⟹x + 18x/ 100​=1239 ⟹(100x+18x)/100 ​=1239 ⟹118x=1239×100 ⟹x=(1239×100)/118​=1050 Therefore the price of the article before GST is Rs.1050

    Given that the price of an article including GST of 18% is Rs.1239

    Let the price of the article before GST be x

    Therefore, x+18% ofx=1239

    ⟹x + 18x/ 100​=1239

    ⟹(100x+18x)/100 ​=1239

    ⟹118x=1239×100

    ⟹x=(1239×100)/118​=1050

    Therefore the price of the article before GST is Rs.1050
