Mitosis

Meiosis

It is a type of cell division in which the daughter cells formed have exactly the same number of chromosomes as the parent cell.

It is a type of cell division in which  the  number of chromosomes is reduced by half through the separation of homologous chromosomes in a diploid cell

Two daughter cells are formed at the end of mitosis.

Four daughter cells are formed at the end of meiosis. 

The steps of mitosis are Interphase, Prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase, Telophase, and Cytokinesis

The steps of meiosis are Interphase, Prophase I, Metaphase I, Anaphase I, Telophase I, Prophase II, Metaphase II, Anaphase II, Telophase II
