The water droplets which appear on the wall of the glass jar when a potted plant is covered with it are because of the process, which is called transpiration. The water droplets form because of the condensed water vapour which deposits on the wall of the jar. These vapours are lost through the process of transpiration.
Transpiration is the process by which the evaporation of water takes place from the leaves of the plant and is released into the atmosphere. This evaporation takes place from the small pores, which are present on the underside of the leaf and are called stomata.
