    1.A map is a drawing of an area made on a flat surface, like a sheet of paper. It can show the whole world or a country, city, or neighborhood. A globe is a small model of the earth. It is round, like the earth. 2.The map essentials were the (1) directional reference; (2) scale; (3) title; (4) date; (5) name of the cartographer; (6) source; (7) projection; (8) locational references; (9) legend or key. 3.According to the ICSM (Intergovernmental Committee on Surveying and Mapping), there are five different types of maps: General Reference, Topographical, Thematic, Navigation Charts, and Cadastral Maps and Plans.
