Because in water the form of oxygen is in liquid form . So ,as we know that our lungs take gaseous oxygen not take liquid oxygen.

In atmosphere , oxygen is found in form of gase but in water , oxygen is present in liquid form . If we try to inhale then water will also goes to your nose along with oxygen .

Because water contains oxygen in a soluble form

Oxygen is in gaseous form and we inhale it in that form only but water is a liquid and if we inhale it it can cause severe irritation and you are that water consist oxygen but soluble form
