    food provided for for 1500 soldiers for 48 days if 1 soldier eat 1 roti in 1 day 1500 eat 1500 rotis in 1 day and for 48 days 1500 × 48 = 72000 rotis provided till 13 days there are only 1500 soldiers that means 1500 × 13 = 19500 the remaining food after 13 days is 52500 assume that x number of soldiers joined that means the remaining food is for 1500 + x soldiers 52500/1500 + x = 25 52500 = 37500 + 25x 25x = 15000 x = 600
