distance = 2 km

total time = 30 min = 0.5 hour

initial speed = 3km/h for first 1 km

Hence time taken = distance/speed = 1/3 h

time left = 0.5 - 1/3 = 0.5/3 h

distance left = 1 km

Hence speed at which he should walk the second km wouldeb 1/(0.5/3) = 6 km/h
