cost of coffee=250 per kg. cost of chicory =75 per kg coffee: chicory 5:2 if the weight of mixture is 1 kg. 75x+2x​=1 ⇒7x=7 ⇒x=1 ∴ weight of coffee = 75x​=75​ kg weight of chicory = 72x​=72​ kg cost of 75​ kg coffee = 75​×250=71250​ cost of 72​ kg chicory = 72​×75=7150​ total cost of 1 kg mixture = 71250​+7150​ cost price of 1 kg mixture = 71400​=200 Rs selling of 1 kg minute = 230 Rs gain or loss = CPSP−CP​×100=200230−200​×100 = 230​=15% since its positive, the mixture was sold at a gain of 15%.
