Desire means the will of a person to buy anything which may be is not for his need but only to satisfy his willingness. But want means the need of a person. A commodity that a consumer needs not for his satisfaction but it's a need in his life.

Desire refers to the wish a person has.

Want is a strong feeling of possessing some things.

Demand refers to the desire to have a commodity backed by willingness and ability to purchase that commodity at given price during a period of time.
