Acids and bases dissolve in water and, because they increase the concentration of either protons or hydroxide ions, they suppress water self-ionization. For any acid, Ka is the equilibrium constant for the acid dissociation reaction in water.

Yes ... When acids are dissolved in water the concentration of water decreases and it becomes dilute . It dissociates in water to give H + ions or hydrogen ions ( also called hydronium or H30 + .) When Acids are dissolved in water , it is also an exothermic process and heat is released. ... Hope it will help you !!
