  • 1 answers

Arun Soni 8 years, 4 months ago

When an electron is hit by a photon of light, it absorbs the quanta of energy the photon was carrying and moves to a higher energy state, but lifetime of electron to remain in higher energy state is very less and it loses energy and  tends to reach it's original lower energy state.
