Parasites are those organisms which obtain their nutrition from other living organisms, whereas saprophytes obtain their nutrition from the dead decaying organic matter.

Parasites Parasites live on a host and get its food at the expense of its host. Example - Round Worm Saprophytes Acquire nutrients from dead and decaying matter. Example - Fungi
