Nutrition can be defined as a process by which organisms take in the food utilize it in order to survive. Based on the mode of nutrition organisms can be divided into two categories Autotrophic Organisms- they can prepare their food by them selves such as plants They can prepare their food by themselves such as plants Heterotrophic Organisms - They depend upon other organisms for their food such as animals

The process of taking and utilising food by the organism is called nutrition. In a simple language plant is also called god as it provides oxygen which is very important for living beings and fruits, vegetables etc.
