Gravitational force -an attractive force that exists between all objects with mass; an object with mass attracts another object with mass; the magnitude of the force is directly proportional to the masses of the two objects and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between the two objects. As gravitational force between two object, F∝m1m2r2 thereforce, (i) when mass of one object is doubled, the force become twice. (ii) when distance between the objects is doubled, force become (1/4) of its previous value. when the distance between the 2 objects is halved, the gravitational force between the 2 objects is doubled. when the distance between the 2 objects is doubled then the gravitational force doubles.
