The theme of the 'The Lost Child' is that a child's most important requirement is his/her parents love and attention. The story explores the theme and brings out the true worth of the bond between a child and his parents. In the story, the child is tempted by the many colourful things as he visits a fair with his parents and wishes to get most of them. But, as he is separated from his parents in the crowded place, he wants only his parents. He understands that they are the ones who give him warmth, happiness and security.
