Golgi apparatus is attached to ER(endoplasmic reticulum) .It collects simple molecule from ER and convert them into complex molecules. These are then packaged in small vesicles and stored and transported to inside and outside of cell. Golgi apparatus also involved in the formation of lysosomes. If there was no Golgi apparatus no lysosomes were formed and the foreign materials like bacteria could easily invade and destroy the cell. Hope it's helpful for you........
