Usually sheep farming is defined as 'rearing sheep commercially for the purpose of meat, milk and wool production. ' It is among the traditional occupations and business of the people of some countries around the world. Rearing of sheep means to look after the sheep by providing them food, shelter and health care. breeding is done to obtain animals with desired characters. (i) Rearing: The process of keeping, feeding, breeding and medical care of useful animals is called rearing of animals. These animals produce one or more useful products for human beings. (ii) Shearing: The process of removing the fleece of the sheep along with a thin layer of skin is called shearing.
