According to the law of conservation of mass m1u1 + m2u2 = m1v1 + m2v2 m1 = 100 g or 0.1 kg M2 = 300 g or 0.3 kg U1 = 1 m/S U2 = 2m/S V1 = 1.5 m/S (0.1)(1)+(0.3)(2) = (0.1)(1.5)+(0.3)*V2 0.1 + 0.6 = 0.15 + 0.3 * V2 0.7 = 0.15 + 0.3*V2 0.7-0.15 = 0.3*v2 0.55 = 0.3*v2 0.5÷0.3 = v2 V2 = 1.83 m/s.
