A rational number, in Mathematics, can be defined as any number which can be represented in the form of p/q where q ≠ 0. Also, we can say that any fraction fits under the category of rational numbers, where denominator and numerator are integers and the denominator is not equal to zero.

In mathematics, a rational number is a number that can be expressed as the quotient or fraction p/q of two integers, a numerator p and a non-zero denominator q. Since q may be equal to 1, every integer is a rational number.

A Rational Number can be made by dividing two integers. (An integer is a number with no fractional part.)

If a number is expressed in the form of p/q then it is a rational number. Here p and q are integers, and q is not equal to 0. A rational number should have a numerator and denominator. Examples: 10/2, 30/3
