Uses of Acids
- Hydrochloric acid used in the production of glucose from corn starch.
- Carbonic acid (H2CO3) is used in aerated drinks.
- Sulphuric acid is used in the manufacture of fertilisers, paints, dyes, chemicals, plasti-cs and synthetic fibres.
- Sulphuric acid is also used in car batteries.
- Nitric acid is used in the manufacture of fertilizers, explosives like TNT, dyes and drugs.
