The distance covered by a body per unit time is called average speed or speed
Speed = distance/Time
1st case:-
10 m/s for 5 seconds
s = vt
= 10×5
= 50m
2nd case:-
5 m/s for 10 seconds
s = vt
= 5×10
= 50 m
Average velocity = total distance/total time
= 50+50/5+10
= 100/15
= 6.66 m/s
