Funerary treasures refer to the treasures which were suitable for burial. This has been used in this context because the people of ancient Egypt believed or at least hoped that the dead took their treasures and belonging forward to the other world. These rituals and protocols included mummifying the body, casting magic spells, and burial with specific grave goods thought to be needed in the Egyptian afterlife
